It is always a joyful experience for me to come across old students from our Jesuit institutions. I am happy to see that the DOXA is trying to organize the bonds with their alma Mater by getting all the old students far and wide to stay connected and draw inspiration from the wonderful years spent in the school. I myself am happy to be here from St. Xavier's Jaipur, after a break of 10 years. I would like to see many more Xaverians coming back to the school to share with the youngsters your success stories and the much needed motivation to excel in all fields.
The Jesuit Institutions across the world envisages continous interaction between present and past students. This is our hope that the students from Jesuits schools and colleges will make a difference in the society. I recall what Admiral Madhavendra Singh, retired Navy Chief and a former student of Jaipur Xaviers told the students when he visited the school in 2003: “It is what I got from this school that helped me to reach where I am now.” I remember how every student was proud to see him back in the school, back to the roots where the great dream of serving the nation was nurtured. You too can make a difference to the world of these young students in the school with your life and achievements.
We here at Xavier's Raj Niwas have always believed in the all round development of the students. To this end we still continue to have the Play Festival, the Music Fest, the Sports day, the Xavier Fair etc., and to this list of events new ones are added, the Interface2005 (Inter school computer related competition…the Technica..(Inter school Science Symposium) and many more. The tradition of sports festival involving the Jaipur and Delhi schools is now extended to the 5 Jesuit schools of Delhi Region and this October we are invited to Jaipur for this Mega event.
I look forward to your visits to the school when you are in town…. and when you need to go back in memory lane and draw inspiration from your Alma Mater, where you nurtured your dreams and established lasting bonds with friends.
